A Free Cultural Gathering for Conversation, Discovery and Exchange

V Hope is pleased to present Culture in Dialogue, a free public event dedicated to cultural exchange, shared experiences, and meaningful conversation.

Culture is created and experienced in many different ways. It can be found in stories, traditions, music, language, art, food, memories, celebrations, places, and everyday habits. It can connect people to their past while also creating opportunities to discover new perspectives and imagine the future.

Culture in Dialogue will invite visitors to explore this diversity through conversation and participation.

The event is based on a simple idea: meaningful cultural exchange begins when people have opportunities to meet, listen, and share. Every person brings experiences and perspectives shaped by their own journey. By creating a welcoming environment for dialogue, it becomes possible to discover both differences and unexpected points of connection.

The programme will combine guided discussions, creative activities, informal exchange, and collective reflection. Participants do not need specialist knowledge or previous cultural experience. Curiosity and a willingness to participate are the only requirements.

Event Programme

2:00 PM – Welcome and Opening Conversation

The event will begin with a welcome and introduction to the theme of cultural dialogue.

Participants will be invited to reflect on the many meanings of culture and consider the different ways culture is present in everyday life.

The opening conversation will explore questions such as what cultural experiences have influenced us, what traditions or creative works we remember, and what we can discover when we encounter perspectives different from our own.

2:45 PM – Objects, Memories and Stories

Participants will be invited to think about an object, memory, place, tradition, or cultural experience that has personal meaning.

Those who wish to participate can share a short explanation or story. The session will show how ordinary experiences can become meaningful when people have the opportunity to explain the memories and emotions connected to them.

The activity will encourage respectful listening and curiosity.

3:45 PM – Small Group Conversations

Visitors will take part in guided discussions in small groups.

Each group will explore themes connected with culture, creativity, belonging, tradition, change, and shared experiences. Participants will be encouraged to speak openly while respecting the perspectives of others.

The purpose is not to reach a single conclusion but to create opportunities for genuine exchange.

4:30 PM – Break and Informal Meetings

The break will give visitors time to continue conversations and meet people outside their discussion groups.

V Hope values informal exchange because meaningful connections often develop naturally through conversation.

5:00 PM – Creative Culture Workshop

The second part of the event will include a collaborative workshop inspired by the idea of cultural exchange.

Participants will work together to create a collective piece using words, ideas, short messages, drawings, and personal reflections. The final creation will represent the diversity of perspectives shared during the afternoon.

The activity will demonstrate how different contributions can coexist within a single creative project.

6:00 PM – Open Forum: Culture and the Future

The event will continue with an open forum focused on the role of culture in the future.

Participants will be invited to discuss how cultural activities can encourage understanding, creativity, participation, and social connection.

The discussion will also explore the importance of creating accessible opportunities for people to meet and share experiences.

7:00 PM – Closing Reflection

The final session will bring participants together for a collective reflection on the day.

Visitors will have the opportunity to share a final thought, idea, or experience from the event.

Culture in Dialogue will conclude with a reminder that cultural exchange does not require people to have identical experiences or opinions. Its value often lies in the opportunity to listen, discover, and create connections across different perspectives.

V Hope hopes that this free gathering will provide visitors with a welcoming space for discovery and dialogue.

By bringing people together around culture, creativity, and conversation, we aim to encourage the openness and human connection that are central to our association’s purpose.
